Helen Dinmore is a novelist, short story writer and reviewer from South Australia, who graduated from the Creative Writing program at Flinders University in 2010 with First Class Honours and several academic and writing prizes, including the University Medal. Her first novel for children - one of the two projects she worked on during the Charles Pick Fellowship - will be published in 2014 under a pseudonym. An excerpt from the other project, a novel for grown-ups entitled The Great Dying, was published in January 2013 in the journal Kill Your Darlings. She is currently a PhD candidate at the University of Adelaide, where she is writing an historical novel (also for grown-ups) set in Sydney during the Great Depression. She has also worked as a publishing assistant and manuscript assessor, and teaches creative writing.
