Jack Wang, a Canadian, earned a B.Sc. from the University of Toronto, an MFA in creative writing from the University of Arizona, and a Ph.D. in English/creative writing from Florida State University. In 2014, his story “The Night of Broken Glass” was shortlisted for the Commonwealth Short Story Prize. His work has appeared in Joyland Magazine, The Humber Literary Review, The New Quarterly, and Let’s Tell This Story Properly: An Anthology of the Commonwealth Short Story Prize. He is an associate professor in the Department of Writing at Ithaca College in Ithaca, New York and is at work on the novel he began during the fellowship.
